Juicy Stakes Poker[]

History[]

Juicy Stakes is a fully functioning online casino and poker gambling site that is part of the Horizon Gaming Network.  Juicy Stakes was formerly owned by the Cake Poker network[1] and was created to house its United States Player post-UIEGA.  Juicy Stakes was run very poorly though and had a fairly bad reputation for taking a very long time to pay players.[2]  In October 2013 newcomer Zagox Management[3] (most likely an entity related to Everygame[4]) bought Juicy Stakes and overnight cash-out times got better.  While it has been slow to recover, the reputation of Juicy Stakes is now quite good and the cash-out times are some of the fastest among the US-friendly sites.

Software and Traffic[]

Juicy Stakes offers a downloadable poker client and a web-based, instant play option. The Juicy Stakes poker client runs on Windows PCs, and players can use the instant-play option to play mobile poker and log on using other devices. Both options offer several cash games and tournaments across many different buy-in levels. The design is simple and streamlined featuring a blue, white, and black color scheme. The software runs smoothly across multiple devices; both the instant-play option and the downloadable poker client work well.

The Horizon Network is a US-facing network that offers poker, sports betting, slots, and table games.  Juicy Stakes and Everygame are members of the network, and they share a player pool. Juicy Stakes also offers over 350 casino games through the instant-play software although they do not offer any sports betting. [5]The player pool at the Horizon Network is not as large as some of its competitors, such as Bovada or Ignition. Despite this, there are still numerous smaller stakes cash games and tournaments running daily.
